IncSmart Oklahoma (Small Business and Startups) - Oklahoma opioid lawsuit is the first state to be watched nationally for ongoing health crises.  The Attorney General filed suit in June of 2017 accusing Johnson and Johnson of intentionally creating the drug crisis.   The Attorney General said they aggressively marketed to doctors knowing there was an addiction problem.  If the case is settled out of court, it will set a precedence for the county at large in the state suites that are filed or are pending,  In a previous law suit against OxyContin, the state was awarded several hundred million dollars that the state will use for addiction research.

IncSmart Missouri (Small Business and Startups) - The Missouri National Guard had been activated as the state recovers from last week storm and ongoing flood fighting efforts.  The storm is 8 years to the day of the Joplin disaster, which was the deadliest tornado after the St. Louis tornado May 27 1896 where 255 people were killed.  The Joplin tornado killed over 150 people.  And EF3 tornado tore apart building in the Jefferson City, the capital.  Jefferson City damage encompasses a three mile area.  The American Red Cross is accepting donations for disaster relief victims.  Magellan Health is also providing trauma and fear counseling for victims of the storm.

IncSmart Nevada (Small Business and Startups) - New FAA regulations are restricting drone flights in Las Vegas Nevada.  The new FAA regulations restrict airspace in 90% of the Las Vegas valley.  Most people living in Las Vegas however live in the restricted airspace which has angered recreational flyers.  Recreation drone flyers will be required to fly drones in a small park southwest of the city named Bennet RC Airfield.  The new rules are intended to make the airspace above the city safer.

IncSmart Kentucky (Small Business and Startups) - Amazon's new Kentucky air hub just broke ground in the suburb of Cincinnati.  Amazon is investing 1.4 billion dollars on its new delivery location.  Amazon will lease 900 acres of land from the airport for 50 years.  The building will be the largest in Kentucky.  The new air hub will enable Amazon to deliver more of it's products in place of using shipping companies like the US Postal service and the overnight companies of Fed Ex and UPS.  Prime delivery times will change from two days to one day.

IncSmart Utah (Small Business and Startups) - Tyson Fresh Meats plans for $300 million dollar meat packaging plant for Utah County.  This new plant will add an estimated 27 million dollars in the next ten years for the state.  The Economic Development Board of Directors voted for post performance tax credit of $5 million dollars over 10 years.  The state is also offering $300,000 for infrastructure.  The new plant will be over 400,000 square feet in size.

IncSmart North Canton Ohio (Small Business and Startups) - Lordstown Ohio sees new light as GM negotiates sale of manufacturing plant to Workhorse Group.  Workhorse, a Cincinnati based company,  builds electric trucks and drones.  General Motors stopped building the Chevrolet Cruze in March.  Lordstown has been assembling vehicles for over 50 years.  This is good news for the community.  Some General Motors employees will still have the opportunity to transfer to other plants in order to save seniority and pensions.

IncSmart Florida (Small Business and Startups) - Florida AFB receives pledge from President Trump.  Tyndall Air Force Base will be rebuilt after Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida panhandle.  Hurricane Michael was a Category 5 hurricane, and will get increased funding for rebuilding.  Tyndall is 30% of the panhandle economy.  The Air Force has already spent $450 million dollars at Tyndall.  Over 700 buildings were destroyed.  Tyndall Air Force base is situated on a barrier island.
